IEA Bioenergy - ICARUS Joint Webinar, 5 September 2024 - Presentations and recording available


ICARUS and IEA Bioenergy joint Webinar "Enhanced Innovative Technologies for Global Sustainable Aviation Fuels Production" will be held on September 5, 2024, from 16:00 to 17:30.

Enhanced innovative technologies are crucial for accelerating the global production of sustainable aviation biofuels (SAF). Focusing on the EU and Mission Innovation countries such as Brazil, India, and Canada, and involving IEA Bioenergy TCP Task 39, ICARUS project aims to promote the development of optimal methodologies and market access insights for the entire SAF value chain.

This webinar will introduce the objectives of the ICARUS project in connection with IEA Bioenergy Task 39's activities on SAF technologies and certification schemes for low GHG emissions. Franziska Müller-Langer (DBFZ) will moderate the session, which will feature presentations by Myrsini Christou (CRES), Kyriakos Maniatis, and José Muisers (Netherlands Enterprise Agency-RVO), the National Dutch team leader at IEA Bioenergy TCP Task 39.
